Generally, WHWSC offers a full spring season to players of all skill levels through separate Competitive (Division A) and Recreational (Division A) divisions. However, due to lower registration numbers in recent years, WHWSC has been unable to offer a separate Division A (we need at least 4 teams to offer a full season).
We will continue to offer a competitive option during registration. If there are not enough players registered to create four teams in Division A (at least 65+), we will offer to place interested players in Division B or issue a full refund of any registration or other fees.
Division A players generally have a higher level of skill, although there are very skilled players in both divisions. Traditionally, there are playoffs to name a Division A Champion in the Spring. Division B is open to players age 25 and older (although exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis). Neither division permits slide tackling. For more information about which Division is right for you, visit the division pages at:
WHWSC accepts individual and team registrations. If you are interested in registering a team, please contact the division coordinator or board member for more information.
Division A is open to women age 18 and older (previously 21+)
Division B is open to women age 25 and older.
Exceptions to the age requirement for Division B will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The Spring seasons runs from mid-April to mid-June with the final dates to be determined by the Town of West Hartford.
Games are typically played at the Glover Soccer Park in West Hartford, CT.
Depending on the number of teams, there may also be games at Eisenhower Park in West Hartford, CT
The Spring season is typically 8-9 weeks. Each team will play approximately 7-9 games depending on the number of teams and whether there is a bye week.
Games are played on Saturday and Sunday evenings at 4pm and 5:30pm.
WHWSC does our best to accommodate team and/or group requests, however, we cannot guarantee placement, as it depends on the number of returning players to a team and the number of available roster spots.
Costs & Jerseys
The current registration fee is $65 plus any applicable processing fees, but is subject change at the discretion of the board of directors.
All new players are also required to pay a one time jersey fee of $20.00.
