DIVISION B

UPDATED SPRING 2024 - Because there is no separate A Division for this coming spring season, the league will consider exceptions to the age requirement for the B Division for players interested in the more recreational division. Please email Abby or Carolyn (see emails links on the board of directors page) for more information about whether the B Division would be a good fit for you. 

Division B is geared toward more recreational play and is open to women age 25 and older. There is no slide tackling and there are no playoffs or standings. Division B includes players of all skill levels and strives to balance healthy competition and good sportsmanship. The goal of Division B is a positive playing environment where everyone gets a chance to play to the best of their ability.

In recent years, WHWSC has been unable to run a separate Division A and as a result - all players have played together in Division B. This means there is a wide range of skill level and ability. The board makes a great deal of effort to create balanced teams in order to ensure competitive games. There is open subbing in the B Division in both the Spring and the Fall so players get a chance to play with multiple teams and get to know the other players.

WHWSC considers exceptions to the age requirement on a case by case basis, especially in light of the difficulties in fielding enough teams for Division A. We do our best to accommodate team and/or group requests, however, we cannot guarantee placement, as it depends on the number of returning players to a team and the number of available roster spots.
